Ian Freeman was just sentenced to 96 months–EIGHT YEARS–in federal prison for the crime of not getting the right paperwork and for being too good at advocating for the adoption of bitcoin and crypto, the Regime’s Achilles heel.
So they’ve made a lesson out of him in the hopes of creating a chilling effect.
Ian was taken into custody, and was ordered to pay a $40K fine, restitution and asset forfeiture TBD. He is filing an appeal.
